The Living Room is a place for all young people aged 11 - 18. We are committed to serving all young people in our local area regardless of race, religion, disability, sexuality and gender; and we will not tolerate discrimination towards young people according to any such categories.
The Living Room is run by a core team of youth workers with the help of other adult volunteers. The core team is made up of 2 part time members of staff (Nesu and Anthony) and a volunteer manager (Carlie). Nearly all the people running the Living Room are members of various local churches. The Living Room is overseen by a Steering Group. This is made up of 4 members of Acton Baptist church and 5 other members from other local churches. They meet regularly to oversee and guide the work. Formally, the trustees of Acton Baptist Church govern the whole of the work as part of the charitable operations of the Church. Acton Baptist Church safeguards the Living Room funds in a restricted account within the Acton Baptist Church bank account. (Any grants given to the Living Room are solely applied to the Living Room activities without any deduction of administration or similar fee.)
